Gangis The Demon
The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy
I just checked out the new album "The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy" by the one and only Rob Zombie. Zombie never disappoints, and this is no exception. This album is fantastic. It starts off with an almost secular sounding chanting with a beat behind it, before jumping right into "The Triumph Of King Freak", which is a great song. It has a very classic Zombie sound to it, but is definitely a unique song. Then we get another heavy hitter, "The Ballad Of The Sleazy Rider". The song starts off with a sorta pyshcadelic sound, but then goes into another epic Zombie hit. I don't know what "ramma lamma ramma lamma loo" means, but I'm definitely diggin' it! Then we get some weird spacey shit, which was of course expected. "18th Century Cannibals..." is a very western country sounding song, which I can honestly say surprised me. But that's one of the best things about Zombie, he always keeps us guessing, and no matter what kind of sound he does, he makes it sound good. Right after that it jumps into the badassery that is "The Eternal Struggles Of The Howling Man", which I've been hooked on since that single dropped. It's so good. Awoooooyeahhhhhhh. Then we get a piece that wouldn't sound out of place at a ren faire. It's an absolutely gorgeous piece with an acoustic line and a flute. It's so tranquil. "Boom-Boom-Boom" is a very different song, it's got a great dark ominous atmospheric sound, and without a doubt is my favorite track. "The Crow Killer Blues" is absolutely fantastic! It has a great bluesy organ sound to start, and a very doom sort of vibe to it. I think this album is absolutely amazing. "Hellbilly Deluxe" has been my favorite Zombie album for a long time, but this takes the spot. It has so many different and wonderful songs on it. I absolutely love it! ~Gangis
