STATE of MINE - Heart-Shaped Box (NIRVANA Cover Review)

Michigan based metal band State of Mine dropped a cover today of Nirvana's hit song "Heart Shaped Box". I enjoyed this cover a lot! They did a great job emulating the original sound, while also taking it and making it their own. I especially love the addition of the piano and stringed instruments. They give the song so much more depth and a much fuller sound. They also added some backing vocals to a few parts, and the drum beat echoes almost like a club beat. I also really like the music video, it's got plague doctors, fire, sexy demons, and all sorts of badass imagery. I think this is definitely a very solid cover and they absolutely nailed it. I definitely recommend checking it out. ~Gangis
