Rob Zombie - House of 1000 Corpses

The title track for Zombie’s first directorial effort, HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES is exactly the sort of tune that feels more ‘horror-ish’ and less ‘rock’, though there is always going to be a sort of rock anthem to his tunes. Compared to other tracks on albums though, this one has a feel of great uneasiness that you are wandering into a real-life horror you don’t want to be near; from the eerie beat, lyrics, and overall tone of the song. This one is more creepily effective in the subtle song portions, versus the loud main chorus. Though his movies get mixed opinions, this tune fits very well in his universe, and is right at home for a description of a house full of psychos.
