PANZERFAUST - Promethean Fire
Canadian black metal band Panzerfaust put out a new music video earlier this month for their song "Promethean Fire" off of their "The Suns of Perdition - Chapter II: Render unto Eden" album that came out last year. I haven't heard this band before, so I decided to check it out. I enjoyed it a lot! This song has a lot of atmospheric elements to it, along with some fantastic vocals, crashing drums, and a great bassline. The melodic guitar lines are also fantastic. Towards the middle we got some clean vocals that almost have a secular quality to them, which were definitely a surprise, but very much pleasantly so. The video is pretty cool, it has a lot of neat effects, takes place underground for much of it, and shows people covered in mud taking part in some sort of ritual or something. I didn't fully understand it, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I definitely think this is a great song, and I'll have to listen to the rest of the album. ~Gangis
