OPHIDIAN I - Spiral to Oblivion (Single Review)

Icelandic technical metal group Ophidian I released a new single today titled "Spiral To Oblivion" off of their "Desolate" album that's coming out on July 16th. This song kicks ass! I love how they take influence from so many different styles, but have that crazy fast and complicated technical influence to it. It's crazy! Add in a few brutal deathcore type vocals, and we've got a fantastic song here. The title fits it very well, it feels like going down a spiral slide into an explosion or something, but I'm sure that's exactly what they were going for. The guitar solo absolutely shreds! I enjoyed this song a lot, and I'm definitely looking forward to the album. ~Gangis
