Of Mice And Men - Bloom

Metalcore/post hardcore/nu-metal band Of Mice And Men dropped a new single today titled "Bloom" off of their new EP of the same title that's coming out on May 28th. This song kicks ass! It starts off soft and melancholic sounding, but it gets so dark and heavy and kinda creepy. This is one of those bands I've been familiar with for a long time, but never really sat down and listened to. I had no idea that their music was this good or this brutal. I love it! I also really like the thunderstorm sound effect at the end of the song. I think the lyrics to this song are really clever, just talking about all the artificial things we live with and are considered the norm, compared to how things used to be and what nature provides. It's a very deep meaning type song, and the lyrics are really clever and catchy. I enjoyed this one a lot, and I'm definitely looking forward to the release of the EP. ~Gangis
