Memoriam - Onwards Into Battle

English death metal band Memoriam dropped a new single last week titled "Onwards Into Battle" off of their "To The End" album coming out on March 26th. This song kicks ass! It's got a very classic death metal sound to it with a bit of doom/psychadelic influence and a lot of... cowbell? Is that what I'm hearing? Odd choice, but it works well. One thing I have to point out is that most of the lines rhyme. I think that was a nice touch, which made the lyrics read like a poem, and I really liked it. I was kind of surprised by the lack of a guitar solo. I don't remember the last time I heard a song that didn't have a solo in it. While I love a good one, it definitely isn't bad to break the mould and do things differently. I enjoyed this song immensely and definitely recommend checking it out. ~Gangis
