John Carpenter - Chariots of Pumpkins

Has there been an entry in a horror franchise more divisive than Halloween 3: Season of the Witch? For those not familiar, Michael Myers is nowhere to be seen, and the plot goes Twilight-Zone regarding a small town, mysterious masks, and mysterious behavior. But while the movie itself is mixed (I personally loved it), one of the main tunes is pure Halloween with the instrumentals reminiscent of the original iconic score, but with updated beats and more substance added.
