J. Geils Band - Fright Night (Soundtrack)
In the history of horror, we have our Jasons, Michaels, Chuckys, and even Freddys. But one of the many underrated villains we don’t hear enough about are our Jerry Dandridges. While the movie of FRIGHT NIGHT is great, the soundtrack is another winner that should be higher on the list of notable horror flicks. The self titled theme, by J. Geils Band, starts off with an intense sound and goes the way between pop and rock for the remainder. It doesn’t go for the scary/intense/suspense type of theme you might expect for a horror film, but instead goes for the light/upbeat/pop theme instead and it still works. When you want to go for the lighter side of horror soundtracks, don’t sleep on this night.
