Heartbeat - Manhunter Soundtrack

HEARTBEAT, by Red 7, is one of the main themes on the Manhunter (see review here) movie soundtrack. And I tell ya; nothing emanates the gritty and sleazy 80s raw vibe of the flick like this song does. From the opening beats to the repeating main ‘chorus,’ whenever you hear this you can’t help but think of a brooding Will Graham and the last scene of the movie. This song also played in an episode of Miami Vice and while that might seem like the exact opposite tone of Manhunter; the 80s raw passion and music the tune gives off would be appropriate for the sexy raw (maybe cheesy) vibe of an 80s beach show too.
