Heart of Gold by Nova

I just listened to Heart of Gold by Nova. It's the first single released off their new album that's coming out later this year. Also the first song released with their new vocalist. Never listened to this band before, but I'm really digging this song. It's definitely kind of complex and has a lot of elements to it. The most notable thing is the wide vocal range of this artist. The introduction has sort of a nu-metal vocal feel, followed by some screaming, some growling, and some 80's style sounds to it. I don't think I've ever heard anything that touches on so many vocal types in one song, but I absolutely love it. Even with all the variation, it's very cohesive and well done. I don't even know if it was intentional or not but it's what I heard. The instrumental parts are all rather heavy, and beautifully executed. Guitar solos are on point. I will definitely be listening to more from this band. ~Gangis
