Goo Goo Dolls - I'm Awake Now

Goo Goo Dolls and horror? The same Goo Goo group with the main theme to the late 90s rom outing City of Angels? Hard to believe but yes. Though their tune, I'M AWAKE NOW from the 'Freddys Dead' soundtrack is less mushy than that other tune and more rock appropriate for the final chapter (at the time) for Freddy's outings, for an icon such as Freddy this tune could have been beefed up a bit to sound less 90s pop and more 90s hard rock. Even Dokken's great theme to part 3, 'Dream Warriors' epitomized an 80s hair band song but the beats were so catchy and had that ounce of despair someone would have running down Elm Street. This current tune is almost too poppy and too happy. That being said, it's not terrible and some may find it appealing to go along with his last main appearance. Give it a shot and see what you think.
