Firewing - Time Machine

Symphonic Prog-Power Metal band Firewing dropped a new single this morning titled "Time Machine" off of their "Resurrection" album that comes out on April 23rd. I really like this one. The first two minutes are nothing but vocals and some beautifully played stringed instruments, really focusing on the symphonic aspect. The strings continue throughout the song, but the main focus becomes the guitars. The riffs are fantastic and have a very classic power metal feel to them. Towards the end, a piano and female vocalist join the mix, and add another layer of awesomeness to the song, followed by a killer guitar solo. For a seven minute song, this is absolutely epic. It keeps changing and keeping you engaged, but it all flows so well and is a cohesive piece. I enjoyed this a lot, and I'm really looking forward to the album. ~Gangis
