EYES WIDE OPEN - Devastation (Single Review)

Swedish melodic death metal / metalcore band Eyes Wide Open dropped a new single titled "Devastation" last week. This song is great! It's got not only melodic and core, but it has some symphonic elements as well, which I thought work really well. The vocals are fantastic and have both some brutal and clean moments. The riffs are super catchy. One thing I thought was really interesting is that this song has what I'd consider to be multiple guitar solos. The music video is really cool, it shows the band playing with a bunch of fire effects and sparks flying everywhere. I'm pretty sure it's mostly or all CGI, but it's still bad ass. I enjoyed this one a lot! I definitely recommend checking it out. ~Gangis
