Don Felder - Takin' A Ride (Heavy Metal)

After looking at the soundtrack to the underrated Heavy Metal 2000, (here and here) we now look at back some of the iconic tunes from the original powerhouse of the first movie, Heavy Metal. ‘TAKIN A RIDE’ by Don Felder is one of the classic rock tunes on the brilliant soundtrack that makes you want to jam out while driving your car through space (see video for reference). Whether space, the city, desert, or middle of nowhere, this tune will make you want to go on a trip asap while having fond memories of the sci-fi future from the perspective of the 80s that the theme embodies.
