Coffin Carousel - Horror Business

Horror doom rock band Coffin Carousel just released a new EP called "Horror Business" that in addition to a couple originals, it has covers of a few classic songs. It has covers of "Static Age by The Misfits, "I Wanna be Sedated" by The Ramones, and "You Keep Me Hangn On" by Motown. This EP is awesome! I really enjoy their original music, but I also love their covers. I always love a well done cover, and they are no exception. They're able to take these classic songs that are well known and loved by many, and put them into their doom style but keep them recognizable. I especially love their cover of "I Wanna Be Sedated". That's a song I'm a big fan of and their cover is absolutely fantastic. It's got a nice creepy keyboard line in the background, the slightly muffled doom sounding guitars, slightly droning vocals, but it's still perfectly the same song. It's wonderful.
