Black Tar Superstar - ...Old Gods, Awaken!

Last week I checked out the single "Hail To The Succubus" by American doom/sluge/stoner band Black Tar Superstar. It was so good, I had to listen to the rest of the album. My only problem with it is that it's only a half hour long. I want more! This album is great! Some of the best new sludgy metal I've heard lately. The lyrics are pretty gnarly and not only tell a great story, but they also convey some strong emotions.My favorite track is "Hail The Succubus", but I have to mention how raw and brutal "Serial" is. Wow! I love everything about this album. I think these guys are fantastic, and I really look forward to what they come up with next. I highly recommend checking this album out. Also, that cover art, is super cool. ~Gangis
