Black Tar Superstar - Hand of Doom

I had the great pleasure of being among the first to hear Ohio based doom/sludge metal band Black Tar Superstar's new cover of "Hand of Doom". It takes balls to do a cover of Black Sabbath.... these guys fuckin' nailed it! While the bassline in the original song is good, it's even better in that deep sludgy tone. Right from the intro, you know this song is gonna kick ass, and it definitely does. I love hearing clean vocals we get for most of the song, the guitar solo absolutely shreds, and the whole thing is just fantastic. It has every element I look for in a good cover. It's true to the original, but they took it and made it their own, and did it incredibly well. I am definitely looking forward to whatever they come out with next. ~Gangis
