Billy Idol - Bitter Taste (Single Review)

Punk rock legend Billy Idol dropped a new single yesterday titled "Bitter Taste" off of his upcoming "The Roadside" EP that's coming out on September 17th. It's nice to hear him putting out new music. It's been a few years since he's put anything out. I definitely wasn't expecting this slow acoustic ballad, but I'm far from disappointed. The whole thing has a very melancholy feeling to it, not only in lyrics, but also in how it sounds. His voice is as good as ever, which is definitely impressive. Many of the artists from the 80's sound like hell now. He still sounds amazing. I love the way the lyrics of this song were written. Some of them rhyme in a really clever way, and the whole thing is just so full of emotion and absolutely beautiful. I love this song. It's so good. I also really enjoyed the video, the cinematography is absolutely gorgeous, and it illustrates the song perfectly. I highly recommend checking it out, and I am very much looking forward to the EP. ~Gangis
