BETTER WATCH OUT (2016)

It’s holiday horror week! And we continue with BETTER WATCH OUT…a film first seen at a festival a few years ago and now circulating the streaming world. It’s the tale of the babysitter who gets more than she bargained for when showing up to watch a boy (not much younger than her) during the Christmas season so his parents can go celebrate. We all know what happens when babysitters show up in a horror movie…and things do indeed end up going bump in the night. It’s home invasion, love that can never be, and twisted characters all rolled into one. The less you know about this one the better though, as any more would ruin the hook. But if you have a flair for a dark comedy/horror mashup, and want something different than your typical slasher, sign up to babysit this flick with some friends. Once it gets going, you’ll want to know what happens next. Side note: Can we get a spinoff with the kid’s parents? I feel like even watching them bicker back and forth for a couple hours would be highly entertaining. As it is though, we do get some meaty bloody scenes in this one. Just be prepared for something different...And in no way is that a bad thing.
